Network Tasman Announces Associate 
Director Appointment

Consumer‐owned electricity lines business Network Tasman Limited and shareholder Network Tasman Trust are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Venus Sood Guy as Associate Director under their Associate Director Programme.


The Associate Director Programme is designed to offer emerging directors the opportunity to accelerate their boardroom experience for a period of 16 months on the board of Network Tasman.

Network Tasman board chair John McCliskie said “The aim of the programme is to enhance the capability of senior leaders embarking on a governance career and to increase the availability of talented people for appointment to boards within the Nelson/Tasman region.”

Venus’s current role is as Operations Manager at New World Nelson City. She is also chair of the Nelson Tasman Kindergarten Association, a board member of the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce and of Abbeyfield New Zealand, and a committee member of the Institute of Directors ‐ Nelson Marlborough.

In welcoming Venus to the Network Tasman board as an Associate Director, Mr. McCliskie said, “the appointment will provide further support to emerging directors with ongoing mentoring, opportunities for professional development and social networking within the governance environment.”
